JOB DESCRIPTION

​Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director for Strategy and Business Development will be responsible for supporting ClarusONE with strategy development as well as identifying, evaluating and driving the operationalization of new business opportunities that advance ClarusONE’s competitive position. In this role, this individual will support the ClarusONE leadership team as well as functional teams in identifying as well as delivering high priority strategic projects related to market analysis, emerging industry trends, portfolio analysis, and identification of strategic needs as it relates to the pursuit of new business endeavors focused on evolving sourcing operations and improving its competitive position. In addition to supporting the ClarusONE leadership team, the Director for Strategy & Business Development will collaborate closely with leaders at Walmart and McKesson to define a 3-year development strategy for ClarusONE, and work in collaboration with ClarusONE’s CFO to develop and frame the Long-Range Plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develops the strategic execution plan by performing industry and market analysis; defining metrics to track performance; communicating the organizational vision and strategic execution plan; developing decision making frameworks; and communicating progress and measures of success to senior leadership, key stakeholders, and suppliers.

  • Leads, identifies, scopes and manages strategic projects end-to-end; conducts external research / data gathering and analysis; maintains responsibility for deliverable's and timelines, shifting priorities as needed; and manages stakeholder relationships and expectations.

​

  • Provides project ownership/support to successfully transition strategic priorities from concept to sustainable operating initiatives that yield expected value.

​

  • Facilitates business problem solving through structured hypotheses, detailed analyses, and synthesized insights leading to recommendations to senior management.

​

  • Creates high-quality presentations / deliverable's for various internal and external audiences.

​

  • Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and member needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum Qualifications

​

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 5 years’ experience in management consulting, retail merchandising, or related area.

 

Two years’ supervisory experience.

​

Preferred Qualifications

​

Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field.

​

Knowledge and experience in U.S. and/or global healthcare market.
